Dad and I attended the annual Mary Wade memorial service in the garden on Sunday. It coincided this year with the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The service was very nice; my friend Isaiah Cooper sounded the shofar and chanted El Mole Rachamim; the gospel group Salt and Pepper were excellent. Best of all was the cake at the reception afterward.
